Four artists of Phụ Lục assembled a pile of objects at their studio in central Hanoi. By lottery, the objects were divided among them, and each then drew a direction—East, West, South, or North. They walked along their assigned direction for 8–9 hours until dusk, carrying only their assigned objects, without money, phones, or identity papers.
